During first semester, English 12 students focus on reading. They are expected to earn a minimum of 40 Accelerated Reader points during the semester. This reading grade is about 40% of their grade. During first semester we also study the Shakespearen era and some of his plays, do a speech unit, do some technical writing, and write an autobiography and Letter of Intent for the Pirate Voyage.
