All nonresident students who wish to attend school in the Adna School District will need to complete a new application each year. Applications for nonresident attendance will be considered on an equal basis as per school board policy 3141. The application process is initiated through the OSPI, Washington State Choice Transfer Request portal.

Annual Review
All requests will be reviewed and evaluated annually using the following criteria, and all accepted student(s) are subject to termination of acceptance if the conditions set forth in these criteria are no longer met:

Capacity exists at the building, program, grade level and/or classroom as determined by the district at the building in which the student desires to be enrolled.

Specific school features as reported by the principal to the superintendent and/or designee.

The availability of a program at a school to meet the educational needs of the student.

Whether approval of the application would result in the district experiencing a financial hardship.

Whether the student has been expelled or suspended from a public school for more than ten (10) consecutive days.

Whether the student has maintained a satisfactory attendance record, whether the student has maintained adequate academic progress (for example, no classes failed), whether the student’s disciplinary records indicate a history of convictions for offenses or crimes, violent or disruptive behavior, or gang membership.
