Adna's 6th grade class has returned from the Cispus Learning Center following a remarkable community fundraising effort that brought students, local businesses, and private donors together to reach a $16,500 goal.
The campaign was a resounding success: students themselves raised approximately $10,000 through their own efforts, while generous contributions from local businesses and multiple private donations provided an additional $6,000 — bringing the total to the full funding goal and ensuring every student could participate in the outdoor education experience.
The Cispus Learning Center offers students an immersive environmental and outdoor education program widely regarded as a highlight of the elementary school experience.
Community support was a cornerstone of the campaign's success. The following local businesses stepped up with donations that made the difference:
Edunn Property Maintenance LLC
Ernie's Rapid Lube
Salyers "The Ally Hair"
Moerke & Sons Pump and Drilling
Alderbrook Quarry Inc.
Frying Dutch Girl
Nicholson and Associates
JMJ Services Inc.
Staff and students want to express deep gratitude to every business and individual that contributed, noting that the breadth of support — from service companies and tradespeople to local shops and private donors — reflects our strong community spirit.
The Adna 6th graders have now made memories at Cispus that will last a lifetime, an experience made possible through their own hard work and the generosity of all who supported them.
